Improve your skills on Spoon Carving Day

The aim of the Carving Day is to enable past students, and other inexperienced spoon carvers, to work on their own spoon carving project in a supported environment.

Consequently, there will be no formal teaching component to the day although poor technique will be corrected and advice given when requested.

Please note that the Carving Day should not be seen as a substitute for attending a spoon carving course with an experienced tutor.

The Carving Day will be run on an informal basis.  Participants may start a project from scratch using the timber provided or bring a project with them to work on.

 Cost: £30.

Which includes:

  • Advice and support while working on your own project.
  • Wood.
  • Homemade Lunch.
  • Tea, coffee and biscuits.

Participants are expected to use their own tools which must be sharp. However, tools will be available if necessary for a small charge of £5 payable on the day.
